April 8th Silverstone : 4th time out and on way to 2nd in the Wendy Wools race - note plain livery at this point
May 13th Mallory Park : 4th this time in the Wendy Wools race but now with sponsorship livery from Bulk Tippers and Brook Hire. Here persued by Graham Goode in the Escort. The perspex side windows were blowing adjar from the speed.
June 3rd Mallory Park : back at the Leicstershire circuit in another Wendy Wools round - 3rd this time and holding off Rob Mason in the Bevan-built Stiletto
July 15th Donington Park : Looks like a hot day as Tony takes 3rd and a class win in the lucrative Donington GT race. Prise money per class winner was £60 per race ( about £300 today ) and Tony would go on to take the 2500cc class outright .
July 29th 1979 Croft : Hustling again through the chicane Tony on his way to his 6th outright victory of his 11 that season at the NSCC meeting.
October 28th 1979 Donington : Last race of the season and indeed the decade was the season finale for the Donington GTs.
Tony finished 3rd overall but another class win which secured his championship class title for the up to 2500cc cars. In all Tony took 19 class wins during a very fruitful season.
Malcolm Hamilton in the Jaguar follows and would become a top quality rival as the new decade progressed
