Ford Escort years

Tony and his venerable Ford Escort Mark 1 enjoyed 9 full seasons together before and through the heyday of Supersaloons 1969 to 1977 inclusive usually taking on much more wilder saloons. Despite running to strict budgets Tony achieved a remarkable 150 top 3 finishes in the same Escort and his 238 finishes from 265 starts made for a commendable 90% finish rate. He won his class 74 times ( 46 of them with outright victory ).
