Before Tony started racing cars he enjoyed 5 seasons racing Norton Motor cycles in the northern half of the country 1955 to 1959. These were a 350cc and from also a 500cc usually entering both in respective class heats at each meeting.

After going through Tony`s records the tally of starts is 187 ( 142 in 350cc and 45 in 500cc ) with 20 wins ( 17 + 3 ). Tony seemed to like the really twisty circuits like Alton Towers ,Mallory Park and Cadwell Park best.
